Yeronga has come a long way from the fertile agricultural farms of more than 150 years ago. Where there were once fields of cotton, sugar cane, maise, potatoes, and arrowroot is now home to a thriving urban suburb just south of Brisbane’s CBD. You only have to wander down the streets of Yeronga to experience the rich history of the area and understand why property is snapped up so quickly in the area.

Demand for properties in Yeronga is very consistent, and the average 2-3 bedroom unit sells for $590,000, and a 3-4 bedroom house sells for an average of $1,200,000. There is simply so much to love about Yeronga; we’re not even sure where to start!

Let’s Narrow Down What H & H Love About Yeronga

1. There’s nothing quite like a morning walk along the Brisbane River, and as gorgeous river views border Yeronga, you can enjoy many a peaceful stroll along The Esplanade. For breathtaking views of the river, head down to the Brisbane Corso Reserve Park.

2. Brisbane is famous for its vibrant Jacaranda trees that paint the city purple at the end of every September. If you enjoy the beauty of a Jacaranda in spring, you’re going to adore Yeronga, which is lined with the iconic trees.

3. If you enjoy escaping the heat in summer but simply can’t be bothered driving up or down the coast, the Yeronga City Council Pool is conveniently located next to Yeronga State School. Alternatively, if you’d like to enjoy the sand between your toes, you’re only a 10-minute drive from South Bank’s Streets Beach.

4. Last but definitely not least is local fave Osteria Epoca, which has to be one of Brisbane’s best Italian joints. Seriously, we want to try everything on the menu – baked mussels, Sardinian ravioli, the 6-hour slow cooked lamb shoulder, pizzas, and top it all off with the famed Tiramisu. We’ll see you there!
