For the rest of August Australian Initiative CAFE SMART are taking donations at participating local cafes (and online) to raise money for local grassroots Homeless Charities. We wanted to help spread the word to give their program that final push before the end of August. Cafe Smart is a side project of Street Smart as a fundraising campaign to engage the various local communities in raising funds and awareness for homelessness. Either head onto their website or find your local participating cafe to donate!

The Brisbane Festival is back baby and we IMPLORE you to get amongst it this year! The festival has been a yearly highlight of Brisbanes history since 1996 and is beyond a world class experience. The event organisers have got this thing down pat with the festival tag line being – Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Brisbane. Well, we can attest to it being all of those things. Brisbane Festival acknowledges what Brisbane has to offer and the program celebrates this through collaborations, commissions and presentations across the city. You won’t forget this incredibly curated experience, they’ll make you wanting to preplan your calendars for the years to come! Spread across Brisbane, we would say there’ll be something on near everyone over the 3weeks.

Guess what…? We’ve found a way to bring the Scenic Rim to YOU! Welcoming The Scenic Rim Farm Box – giving everyone the ability to eat & drink local produce at home! What it is – The Farm Box was a initiative born out of the Covid-19 response from last years lockdowns. When we weren’t able to visit this great area the locals developed a delivery service of fresh produce that meant we didn’t have to to still experience their delicious offerings! It’s been a year since The Farm Box took off and it’s here to stay! So, we suggest, if you’re busy and have guests coming over for the weekend, jump onto their website and order your customisable box of fresh produce, meats and local beverages!
BUT… if you do want to get out there, you’re in luck – Farm Gate Trail is back this weekend, a chance for you to meet the growers, find out where the produce comes from – and of course eat and drink it!! How about that, best of both worlds! The trail is on this Saturday, the 28th from 9-3pm!

The Clubhouse Moorooka is here! That’s right, they have officially gone live with doors opening on Sunday the 19th of September. They will be holding a fundraising event linking up with an act from another of Brisbane’s MUST DO’S in September – The Brisbane Festival! Come along on the 19th to support Moorooka’s epic new locale. Time to get the food, music and community vibes cranking Moorooka!
