SEE THIS

‘European Masterpieces from the MET’ opens June 12th and promises to be a blockbuster exhibition that everyone needs to put on their must-do list. Spanning 500 years, you’ll see works from Titian (The Crucifixion 1420-23) to Turner (Venice from the Porch of Madonna della Salute, c1835). It’s a ticketed event, and while you’re there you can listen along and discover more about each artwork on the app, so make sure to take your EarPods! We love art, and seriously can’t wait for this one.

READ THIS

For a meaty read that spans decades, you can’t go past Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Novels. The first of the quartet is ‘My Brilliant Friend’. Those at H & H that have read the set couldn’t put them down! The series has sold more than 10,000,000 copies in over 40 countries, and one of the most interesting facts is that there’s only one person in the world (the agent) who knows who the author is! The first two books have been adapted for tv by HBO.

EAT THIS

Peter and Karen were fortunate to be on a real estate conference recently that took place on a sheep station near Tamworth called Dungowan Station (beautiful spot). On the way home they stopped over at Armidale and had dinner at a little Italian joint called Signor Vertelli. If you’re cool with seriously good Italian food (especially pizza) you’ll love it here! (You can thank us later.)

BUY THIS

Like everyone on the planet, we love our coffee, but have you ever tried chai tea? It’s like a warm hug in a cup. Here at H & H a few of us are hooked on it and are always investigating different chai blends. Lately, we’ve discovered Instant Chai, made by Living Chai (a Byron based company). They’ve created it from slow brewing all the spices, ginger and tea for 6 hours, then bottling it for adding to your steamed milk. So easy!

BOOK THIS

At the time of writing, there are tickets left to see Wolfmother in concert at The Tivoli in Brisbane. Renowned for their electrifying live performances, we’re betting those tickets won’t last long!
