Where do we start?
Well let’s look at Brisbane’s heart – the Botanic Gardens. Go for a jog along the river from your groovy CBD apartment, maybe yours is in the luxe new Abian building, or your place is one of the oh-so-elegant Grovenor Apartments.
You’ll be jogging past open grassy areas, through an inner-city rainforest, and then past QUT and over the Green Bridge to South Brisbane. What a way to start the day.
After brekkie at Greenglass, you stroll to your office on Eagle St. Hitting the shops at lunchtime is your favourite Friday pastime!
After work, or if you’re retired, the CBD offers a plethora of evening activities. Choose from an outing to the new Elizabeth Picture Theatre, attend one of Goma’s Up Late events, go on a Story Bridge Climb at dusk, or take a cruise on the Kookaburra Queen for dinner.
Speaking of dinner – wow, just wow. Donna Chang, Otto, Sake, Walter’s Steakhouse, Urbane, Madam Wu, the list definitely goes on.

+ QAGOMA is just across the river over the Victoria Bridge (not so hidden!)
+ Check out the Museum of Brisbane in City Hall
+ While you’re there, catch the lift to the Brisbane City Clock Tower
+ Back on ground floor, have lunch at Brisbane’s oldest café – The Shingle Inn
+ Take part in one of the many festivals – Riverfire in September, BrisFest, Winter Festival, and the Bris Funny Fest
+ At the time of writing, the W Hotel are serving fondue Thursday to Sat from 4pm (have mercy!)
+ The Brisbane Arcade’s upper levels offer quite a few lesser known designer fashion and jewellery stores
+ If you need an alteration for one of your new purchases, pop up to Tess Fashions above Country Road on the mall – we highly recommend them!
