Bringing design to life, one pixel at a time, and making H & H shine in the world of real estate.
**A Day in the Life of Anton Lebedev: Graphic Wizard and Star Wars Aficionado**
“Morning already? Guess I’m not part of the 5am club – more like the 6:30am crew,” I chuckle as I peel myself from my cozy bed. My loft-style apartment has that minimalist charm, adorned with my not-so-secret collection of Star Wars memorabilia. Yep, you caught me, I’m a bit of a geek, but it’s our little secret.
I kickstart my day with a ritual that’s as essential as the Force itself – crafting the perfect espresso. There’s an art to it, you know, and I’m passionate about every grind, every shot, every frothed milk swirl. It’s the force that keeps me going.
With my trusty sidekick, a lively Staffy named Chewie, we head to the local dog park. Chewie’s enthusiasm for chasing tennis balls is infectious. It’s a good way to balance out the caffeine buzz and catch a glimpse of that morning sun.
Vietnamese food? Count me in! Lunchtime is an adventure in flavours – I frequent the local Vietnamese spot for my daily dose of pho or banh mi. The mix of spices and herbs is like a symphony for the taste buds.
Now, if the day permits, I might indulge in a bit of indoor rock wall climbing. Scaling those walls is a thrilling challenge that keeps both mind and body sharp. It’s a hobby I sneak into my schedule whenever I can.
By 9am, I’m ready to dive into the creative whirlwind at H & H. The morning is dedicated to crafting eye-catching property marketing materials, making sure each listing gets the visual treatment it deserves. My design skills are my lightsaber in this realm.
The latter half of the day is where my artistic juices really flow. I dive into designing self-promotion pieces for our talented agents at H & H. Social media graphics are my playground, where I get to infuse my unique style into every piece. It’s a chance to showcase the human warmth and personality behind the business.
So, there you have it – a glimpse into the life of a graphic designer, espresso enthusiast, Star Wars aficionado, and lover of all things creative. May the design force be with you!
FAST FIVE WITH ANTON
Favorite book? “The Art of Perception” by Al Ries and Jack Trout. It’s like a masterclass in visual storytelling – right up my alley.
Most noteworthy or enjoyable design project? I adore working on the branding and graphics for H & H. It’s an ongoing project. I think the H & H brand exudes a contemporary clean look which I love, and it’s fun working with Pete and Karen as they are an absolute dream to collaborate with (not saying this to get brownie points, haha, just love our combined creativity). It’s where I get to use my design skills to their best, and it’s a blast!
If you were ruler of your own country, what would be the first law you’d introduce? Mandatory “Creative Breaks” every day. Everyone needs a dose of inspiration and imagination.
What was your first design gig? I landed my first design gig at a quirky little boutique design studio in Fortitude Valley. The office was a kaleidoscope of colours, and I learned that design is all about pushing boundaries and infusing your personality into your work.
Do you have a motto? “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” – Steve Jobs
