We’ve hit the street to find some fancy things for your living room that we think you’ll love!

Of course, one of the fabulous things about working in Fortitude Valley is keeping up to date with all the latest trends and seeing the change in seasonal looks.

Currently, we’re loving the changeover to the cooler months (like you, we can’t wait for the ‘Brisbane winter’ top temps of 20 degrees celsius!), and the new vibes filtering through the shops.

We scoured some of our favourite retailers in Fortitude Valley to bring you a few beautiful things to look at without having to lift a finger. Our faves include St Barts, Living Edge, M.O.S.T. and West Elm.

So here’s the list from low to high:

We love the ZigZag cushion cover from West Elm with its textured fabrication and strong colourway. The off-white background makes the cushion easy to incorporate with your other creams and neutrals and gives off slight wintery vibes with the rust and brown shades. Add a cushion insert for $20.

The Local Project have just launched ’10’, a hard-cover compilation of the best homes from its first 10 issues of their magazine. Two of our favourite architects are featured – Chenchow Little and local icons Richards & Spence. We love the stunning linen cover and it’s presented in a divine box, making it a perfect gift (who doesn’t love a stunning coffee table book?) Find it at M.O.S.T for $115.

The Restore Basket by Muuto at Living Edge caught our eye with its caramel colour and clean design. It makes the perfect addition to your living room as a place to throw those bits and pieces when friends drop by and keep your living zone neat and tidy, and it comes in other colours too. It’s $185 which we think is quite reasonable for its durability and design.

This brass lamp from St Barts has to be one of the most stunning things we’ve seen in a while! Based on the ‘Atollo’ table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977 (the originals sell for north of $5,000AUD), you could say we’re obsessed. This is style that never dates.

If you’ve been looking for that perfect occasional chair for a while now, we love the ‘addie’ swivel chair from West Elm. The boucle fabric isn’t too fluffy, and the colour’s just right to go with anything from grey to caramel. It’s comfortable to sit on too! It’s $1,499 and the colour pictured is stone white.

This list is just the start! Head over to Fortitude Valley for more, much more . . .
