ANATOMY OF AN AUCTION: 22 ABBOTT ST, NEW FARM

After 70+ buyers coming through the open homes, many second inspections and even some third inspections, a crowd of 150 attended the auction of 22 Abbott St, New Farm last Saturday.

Bidding was stopped several times as Peter conferred with the 7 registered bidders and the vendors, and when the home was put on the market around $3,100,000 the bids were flying thick and fast as the final three bidders duked it out to the end.

What an auction!

Pete should not have worn his light-coloured suit that day as he was drenched in sweat as the final bid was called at $3,360,000 by elated local residents and business owners Justine and Cordell Khoury.

Justine is looking forward to riding her bike to work (Dicki’s New Farm) and they’re both over the moon about creating their dream house with plenty of room for their young family to run around in that massive back yard.

It was such an honour to serve our clients in the sale of 22 Abbott St, New Farm, and achieve the highest price the market would bear – this seriously is the best job in the world!
